1. How does iSpy Kid track my child’s location?

iSpy Kid uses GPS and background location tracking to provide real-time updates. For best accuracy, ensure the app is open or running in the background with location permissions set to “Always Allow.” 

2. What happens if my child closes the app? 

If the app is closed, location updates may be delayed or unavailable. Parents will receive a notification if tracking is interrupted. 

3. How do predator alerts work? 

When your child's device is near a registered offender location, iSpy Kid sends an alert to the parent. Ensure notifications are enabled for critical alerts. 

4. Can my child turn off tracking or delete app? 

Children cannot disable tracking nor delete iSpy Kid from their end, but they can close the app. We recommend discussing app usage with them and enabling device settings and always running iSpy Kid in the background.

5. Does iSpy Kid drain battery? 

Like any GPS-based app, iSpy Kid uses battery, but it’s optimized for efficiency. Keeping the app in the background (instead of reopening frequently) helps conserve battery life.

6. Why is my child’s location not updating? 

This may happen if the child’s app is closed, battery saver is enabled, or location permissions are restricted. Ensure the app has full location access and is running in the background.

7. Can I monitor multiple children? 

Yes, iSpy Kid allows you to manage 5 child devices from the parent dashboard. Simply add each child’s device during setup or later in the manage devices page in the settings tab found at the bottom of the parent dashboard.

8. Is my child’s data secure? 

iSpy Kid prioritizes privacy and security, ensuring all location data is encrypted and never shared with third parties.

9. Will I be notified if my child enters or leaves a location? 

Yes, iSpy Kid provides arrival and departure alerts for locations you set up. These alerts work best when the child’s device is connected to the internet and the app is running in the background.

10. How do I contact support if I have an issue? 

A.) If you need support, visit the contact us page in the settings tab on the parent dashboard of the app.
